kullanari koottam movie review, kullanari koottam movie story, kullanari koottam movie actor and actress performance, kullanari koottam movie comments, vishnu, ramya nambeesan, kullanari koottam movie team performance

Film: Kullanari Koottam
Starring: Vishnu, Remyaa Nambhessan, M.Soori, Appukutty, Sundar, A.Ramesh Pandian, Iyappan
Director: Sribalaji
Producer: V.Aashish Jain
Banner: Darshan Creations
Music: V. Selvaganesh
Kullanari Koottam Story:
The story revolves around the hero Vetri (Vishnu) who is an MBA student and roams out without any job and he hails from a middle class family. His father is completely against police service and he doesn’t like Vetri or his brother to apply even passport as police officials would visit there house for verification. But the reason behind Vetri’s father hating police is not revealed and discussed. A small change in the mobile number during recharge makes Vetri meet Priya (Ramya Nambeesan). They start meeting very often and this turns into love.

Interesting twist comes here in the form of Priya’s father who is a military man. He decides his daughter to get married to a person who is only from military or from police force. As the film progresses Vetri meets a set of strangers who finally turns as his best buddies. All his friends stand in support for him to achieve his love. How he achieves his love forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Vishnu as a middle class has performed well, but he still needs to improve his acting skills.
Remyaa Nambeesan is okay as Vishnu’s love interest and also suited the best like a typical middle class girl. She can even perform better by putting in little bit more effort.
M.Soori, Appukutty, Sundar, A.Ramesh Pandian, Iyappan have performed well on the limits of their roles.
Director Sribalaji could have taken much more care in making the film as everything seems to be predictable in every scene.
Cinematography by Laxman is okay while editing by Kasivishvanathan could have been better.
Music by Selvaganesh is okay but can’t make any impression as songs in the first half are smooth but in the second half they are forced and are seriously a misfit.
The first half of the film is passable with fun filled love story but the second half lacks clear narration and you will surely deviate from the film.
On the whole, Kullanari Koottam is a very old-fashioned love story and fails to appeal the audiences.

dongala muta review, dongala muta movie story, ravi teja, charmi, dongala muta movie review, ravi teja charmi performance comments @ dongala muta, dongala muta movie cast & crew
Film: Dongala Mutha
Starring: Ravi Teja,Charmi,Prakash Raj,Lakshmi Manchu,Subba Raju,Brahmanandam,Supreet
Director: Ram Gopal Varma
Producer: Kiran Kumar Koneru
Banner: Sreya Productions
Music: Amar Mohle
Dongala Mutha Story:
A couple Sudheer(Ravi Teja) and Rani(Charmee) on their way to Rani’s friend marriage reaches an abandoned resort as their car breaks down, and finds the place dirty and the people around(Subba Raju, Supreet & Brahmaji) suspicious who kidnapped a business man Narayana Murthy(Brahmanadam) and kept in the same resort. How Sudheer saved themselves and Narayana murthy from Munna bhai (Prakash Raj) and gang with the help of a police inspector Shiva (Lakshmi Manchu) is the story. What is the reason behind locking them in the resort? Will Sudheer and Rani escape from the resort? If escaped will they have a happy ending forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Ravi Teja as Sudheer suited the role and did extremely well in combination episodes with Charmi. Regularly Ravi Teja will be seen in the roles of next door guy in his movies but in performing a serious kind of role he really excelled.
Charmi is as usual bubbly and looked glamorous. Her facial expressions exactly reflect the fear and anxiety that the film of such genre needs. Charmi is apt in her role effortlessly and gave an extremely natural performance.
Prakash Raj turns in a cool show as the suave cop who unveils the mystery by collecting the clues. His role in Dongala Mutha would be another memorable minuscule role in his career like that of Anthahpuram.
Lakshmi Manchu with her first film itself was showered with praises. Though her role is limited she performed well.
Brahmanadam and Sunil showed their talent again. Both of them were is hilarious with their portrayal and were just great.
Subbaraju performed well within the scope of his role. Brahmaji gets a sensible and a good role in the film while Supreet did complete justice. All three of them maintained the suspense factor well.
Technical Aspects:
Ram Gopal Varma’s main intention in making this film is to let the people know that a film can be made with even small budget and less number of days. RGV has come up with a unique thought of making a film in five days, need to see whether the film runs for atleast five days. The film is being shot using Cannon 5D still camera, which caught the visuals excellently. The technical brilliance of RGV should be appreciated as the frame to frame has been shot crystal clearly. Cinematography and Editing is by FX School and VFX @ FX is okay. Music has nothing to be mentioned.
Analysis:
Dongala Mutha doesn’t carry any content which is appealing. The first half of the film is good but the second half is pathetic and boring. However, the movie will be watched only for his technicalities, otherwise nothing is found interesting in the film.

raaj review, raaj movie review, sumanth priyamani vimala raman raaj movie story ratings, raaj movie story, raaj movie cast and crew, raaj movie actor and actress performance comments, raaj movie team performance
Film: Raaj
Starring: Sumanth, Vimala Raman, Priyamani
Director: V.N. Aditya
Producer: Kumar Brothers
Banner: Kumar Brothers Cinema
Music: Koti
Raaj Story:

After the engagement, Raj falls in love with Priya (Vimala Raman) in some mysterious situation and decides to marry her. Many days after getting married, Raj forgets his love and tries to get close with Mythali. When this happens to take place, all of a sudden he finds Priya. He comes to know that Priya left him due to some obstacles. Mythali who comes to know about this misunderstands Raj. How Raj saves Priya from her problems? Will he get back Mythali in his life or marries Priya makes the crux of the story.
Performances:
Sumanth is good in the role of. He is excelled a lot in stunt sequences and especially his chemistry with Priya Mani and Vimala Raman in the songs it outstanding.
Priya Mani plays her parts with confidence and looked glamorous all through the film. Her performance is just like earlier films and no improvement is found.
Vimala Raman still needs to improve her acting skills to make her foundation strong in the industry.
Comedy evoked by Ali and Srinivas Reddy is passable.
Technical Aspects:
The basic plot of Raaj is just like some earlier triangular love stories films in Telugu. V. N Aditya direction of the film is adequate as he made nothing fresh to bring in some uniqueness. The screenplay should have been better. Music by Koti is okay. Action sequences are conceivable and were shot well.
Analysis:
It’s like an old wine in an old bottle as nothing is appealing. Find plus points in the film and win a free International trip as more of negatives were found. On the flipside, the first half should have been made in a more interesting way and second half is very boring and was really dragged like a serial. The comedy sequences were not properly handled. On a whole, Raaj is a below average flick.

Film: Anwar
Starring: Prithviraj,Mamta Mohandas,Prakash Raj,Geetha
Director: Amal Neerath
Producer: Rajesh Zacharias
Banner: Celebs and Red Carpet Films
Music: Gopi Sundar
Anwar  Story:
The film begins with a bomb blast that takes place in Coimbatore. In this bomb blast case Babu Sait (Lal) a local leader gets arrested by the special investigation officer Stalin Manimaran (Prakash Raj). Meanwhile, Anwar (Prithviraj) a muslim youth gets arrested while circulating Hawala money and will be sent to the prison and here he gets the company of Babu Sait and his team. In no time Anwar turns Babu’s trusted and obedient right hand and Babu in turn helps Anwar to get bail. Anwar by this slowly gets attracted to the activities of him. Later coming out of jail, Anwar fixes a bomb in the police Headquarters and this will be noticed by Basheer Bhai (Sampath) who is the leader of Babu. Anwar will get introduced to him and Basheer Bhai selects him as a head for another dangerous series of bomb blasts. Anwar starts executing their plans, but he will be haunted by an unforgettable flashback which makes him to act completely opposite to the laid out design
Rest of the film ends with a totally twisted and thrilling climax, Whether Anwar does his next task and what was the past which is hunting him so badly.
Performances:
Prithviraj performed outstandingly in the role of Anwar. He looked stylish and also reminds us that he is the future hero like Mammootty and Mohanlal.
Mamtha Mohan Das gave okay performance as Prithviraj’s love interest.
Prakash Raj like his other films is the star of the movie. In particular Police Station scene he excelled and performed it ultimately. He is the perfect suit especially for the role of Police officer.
Sampath, Lal and the rest of the supporting cast performed well on their boundaries.
Director Amal Neerad had succeeded to some extent but with having a strong story in hand the director should have concentrated more on story rather than stylish looks, outfits and walks. As the film has a sensitive theme he should have been much more careful with presentation. But Anwar is the best movie in Amal’s career.
Music by Gopi Sundar is entertaining but most of the time, too much of noises are found irritating.
Cinematography by Satheesh Kurup looked stylish and during the bomb blast sequences, he presented in the best possible way. Action scenes are beautifully captured. Editing is appreciable.
On whole, Anwar is a Stylish film with Good Story but Weak Execution and presentation.

bhavani review, bhavani sneha performance, bhavani movie comments, bhavani movie story, bhavani movie ratings, bhavani movie cast and crew, sneha movie bhavani details
Film: Bhavani IPS
Starring: Sneha,Vivek,Kota Srinivasan Rao
Director: G Kicha
Producer: G Kicha, Shahul Hameed.M
Banner: Shri Movie Makers
Music: Dhina
Bhavani IPS a very long pending film has finally seen the light of the day today. Sneha who was so far seen in glamour and homely girl roles has taken an action avatar for this film. Sneha will be seen in the titular role as the police officer. Bhavani IPS is the remake version of yester years Telugu hit film ‘Vyjayanthi IPS’ which turned Lady Amitabh Vijayashanthi as a super star among the masses. She performed ultimate stunts in the film by taking heavy risk. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sampath, Ilavarasu, Manobala, Rajkapur, Vivek and Manoj K. Jayan are playing as supporting cast. The film is directed and produced by G. Kicha.
Bhavani IPS Story:
The story turns around a strict and tough IPS officer Bhavani who is incharge of a town. An aspiring MLA and gangster Siva lingam (Kota Srinivasa Rao) holds the whole control of the same town. Bhavani takes action on his activities on strict note and this irks Siva Lingam and his gang. Siva Lingam controls from police to politicians with his power. One day Bhavani takes charge on him and his gang and as usual seen in other police stories they end up with a conflict. Vowing to take revenge against Bhavani, Siva Lingam attempts to kill Bhavani’s sister and starts giving lot of trouble and also spoils her name and fame. A series of events starts haunting Bhavani and she will be removed from Police service. The rest of the story deals with on how Bhavani overcomes all her obstacles.
Performances:
Sneha performed excellently as a cop. During action sequences she carried out well but the most of the film runs only on action where we come across similar kind of kicks, jumps and fisticuffs. Kota Srinivasa Rao who played the baddie has performed well by putting all his experience. Vivek’s comedy provides some laughter but was seen only in few scenes. The rest of the cast gave an okay performance.
Director has choosed very old-fashioned script which doesn’t match the current genre. If the same film would have hit the screens ten years back then atleast it would have been an average performer. The dialogues in the film also were not striking and have chances to click at only C centers. On a whole, one should have great patience to watch this film as it doesn’t appeal all sections of audience.

Film: Nadunisi Naaygal
Starring: Sameera Reddy,Veera Bahu,Samantha
Director: Gautham Vasudev Menon
Producer: Jayaraman
Banner: Photon Kathaas,R. S. Infotainments
Nadunisi Naaygal Story
Named as Samar in his childhood, he gets disturbed by the way his father behaves and grows under the custody of his neighbour Samaritan Meenakshi aunty. His aunty changes his name as Veera. His childhood events continuously irk him day and night. In the relation with Meenakshi he tries to forget the shocking scenarios. As seen all bad situations during his early days with his compulsive disorder he develops his desire towards Meenakshi, but she always treats him like a son. He becomes jealous when Meenakshi gets married. One fine day he kills her husband and in this struggle Meenakshi too gets burned and will be left with a dreadful face.
Veera being with irrational thinking becomes a psychopath by showing different personalities that are harmful. With his different behavior Veera runs after young girls for compulsive love and later leads it to violence. Sukanya (Sameera Reddy) is his childhood friend and he starts his dreadful game with her. He kidnaps her and in this process Veera gets caught by police. Here he reveals the reason for his behavior which is to be watched on big screens.
Performances:
Veera as Samar has excelled in the role of a psycho and performed ultimately in dreadful sequences. Though being new for acting, he nowhere showed the freshness of his acting skills in the film.

Sameera Reddy as a Sukanya gave an awestruck performance. Her acting skills must be appreciated during scary scenes. Coming to gorgeous beauty Samantha, She hardly has footage in the film but has done a decent job.

Deva who was seen in the role of Vijay, Assistant Commissioner of Police has done fairly well. He looked tough and suited the role perfectly. Ashwin Kakumanu as Arjun and Swapna as Meenakshi did complete justice to their roles with good performance.

Gautham Menon’s direction is outstanding and the film made an attempt to look like a Hollywood and Korean thrillers. Gautham maintained the suspense element till the end with his screenplay. He scared the audiences with his extreme script. Especially direction in the second half has the right amount of twists.

Cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa brought a rich look to the film and it was stunningly extreme. Editing by Anthony is good.

The first half of the film is reasonably good and carries off well and in the second half the film gets into the point and creates the much needed curiosity by engaging the audience.

payanam movie review, payanam review, payanam movie cast, payanam movie details, payanam movie story line, payanam movie ratings
Film: Payanam
Starring: Nagarjuna, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Poonam Kaur,
Director: Radha Mohan
Producer: Prakash Raj
Banner: Silent Movies
Music: Pravin Mani

The much awaited edge of the seat thriller Payanam is all set to hit the silver screens today, February 11th, 2011.

Payanam is a different genre film directed by Radha Mohan of Abhiyum Naanum fame. The film brings the hijack experience of flight IC 814 that takes place in Tirupati airport. The whole episode of the hijack has been directed in a spectacular way and the audiences are surely going to enjoy this thrilling journey. Telugu actor Nagarjuna will be seen as a commando and Prakash in the role of a bureaucrat. On coming with a new genre script the whole team is confident that Payanam will make its journey with packed houses.

Payanam is a bi lingual release both in Tamil and Telugu. The Telugu version was screened for the media persons and is showered with praises from the critics and film buffs for its awestruck making.

Payanam Story:
The film starts off with an Airlines flight IC 814 that takes off with about 75 passengers along with the crew from Chennai being hijacked by a bunch of terrorists. On an emergency call the plane lands in Tirupati airport and they demand for the release of their dreaded terrorist leader Yousuf Khan who is spending his days in jail. Now Home Secretary Vishwanath (Prakash Raj), along with some Airport authorities and National Security advisers comes to Tirupathi to negotiate with the terrorists. When the negotiations are going on National Security Guards officer Ravi (Nagarjuna) is designated to take on the terrorists. The information will be passed to the government but the government is not interested to go with the commando operation instantly. By finding no other way the government decides to release Yousuf Khan but on the way to the Tirupathi airport he gets killed in an accident. The really drama kicks off from here very interestingly played by the National Security Guards officer Ravi. How do they complete the most dangerous task and gets the passengers free from the hijacker’s forms the crux of the story.

Performances:
Nagarjuna as NSG commando has given incredible performance. He looked dignified and has brought the genuineness to the role of a commando.

As a bureaucrat Prakash Raj brought all his experience to the character but there is no much scope for him to perform.

Poonam Kaur is perfect fit as an air hostess. Bharat Reddy as a sub ordinate to Nagarjuna, Ravi as a pilot and Harsha Vardhan as a tabloid journalist have gone into the skin of their roles.

Vijay as a Colonel is seen in a vital role. Sana Khan doesn’t have much to perform. Prithvi as film actor is just okay and his role brought out some best spoof on the real life stars. Ace Telugu comedian Brahmanandam has brought some laughs in the some parts of the film.

Director Radha Mohan has succeeded in making Payanam as a watchable film. He has handled the plot very interestingly and maintained the curiosity factor all through the film.

Cinematography by K V Guhan is worth mentioning as he brought the real essence to the film by his imaginative camera work. By using Red camera Guhan has brought the feel of a real air plane as the set of airplane was erected at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Dialogues by Anu Radha are easy to understand and Background score is okay.

The run time of Payanam is about 2 hours, the first half carries the scenes about the build up to the hijack and doesn’t loose the pace at anytime. Even though the film begins quite indifferently but for some reasons it engages you and captures you in a world of surreal splendor. Second half is interesting.

The film clicks in A centers as this is not everyone’s cup of tea.

Quick take: For adventure seekers and people who watch with an open mind only can enjoy.

thoonga nagaram review, thoonga nagaram movie story, thoonga nagaram ratings, thoonga nagaram movie review, thoonga nagaram movie cast & crew

Movie: Thoonga Nagaram
Director: Gaurav
Cast: Vimal, Bharani, Nishanth, Gaurav, Anjali

Thoonga Nagaram, as the name suggests, is a story set in the backdrop of Madurai – the city that is referred so. Cloud Nine’s production maiden venture, directed by debut director Gaurav, in which he also stars in a role, Thoonga Nagaram is about a bunch of friends and their trials and tribulations in life. Designed as an out and out masala entertainer, Thoonga Nagaram proves to be a dead beat attempt owing to its lack of innovation in script or story. It does get boring after one point in time to watch waywardly guys falling in the hands of trouble and getting even with their villains tactfully. Partly, the movie is narrated in Vadivelu’s voice.

Vimal, Bharani, Nishanth and Gaurav are friends and they land in trouble when they thrash the son of a bigwig in the village for sneak-peeking into the trial room of a textile shop, where a temple priest’s daughter is changing. This thrashing earns them the wrath of the village big shots who unleash a manhunt to nail the friends and kill them.

Of the four friends, one is mute (Nishanth) and he is captured by the villain team that uses him as a pawn to corner the other friends. The others, on the other hand, get the picture and double cross the gangsters. There is also a love story between Vimal and Anjali in the middle of all this hullaballoo.

Thoonga Nagaram is super predictable and has nothing going on for it. The movie lacks zing since the story is run of the mill, the performances are just about average and everything else seems contrived except for a few sequences. Gaurav seems to have a lot to learn in terms of direction and scripting a story. His script actually has enough enthusiasm to carry the movie on its shoulders but Gaurav fails to cash in on the potential, letting the movie plummet to very low levels of mediocrity.

After Kalavani, Vimal has selected a forgettable role for himself with Thoonga Nagaram. The movie has made very little use of his potential. His romantic scenes with Anjali could have been one of the best scenes of the movie – since it had a very touching flashback – but sadly it was not to be. Except for Anjali’s nick name (Theru Trisha, since is a VJ in one of the local TV channels), the romantic angle fails to live up to it.

On the whole, Thoonga Nagaram has had a distant possibility of becoming a better product if only director Gaurav listened to his script that is screaming for attention to get rid of the banalities marring the narrative.

Verdict: This city (Nagaram) has nothing new to offer!

Film: Yuddham Sei
Starring: Cheran, Dipa Shah, Y. Gee. Mahendra, Lakshmi Ramak
Director: Mysskin
Producer: Kalpathi S.Aghoram
Banner: AGS Entertainment
Music: k

Story
The film kick starts with a series of investigations done by Cheran (Krishna Moorthy) who is a CB CID officer. He was asked by his senior officials to track a murder case but Krishna Moorthy rebuffs to take charge of the case as he wants to investigate his sister’s case, who goes missing. But being forced by his officers he accepts to investigate the murder case along with his two of his officers Dipa Shah and Yugendran.

The serial killer who does all these murders gives Krishna Moorthy and his team a shock by killing more people. He and his team will track the case rigorously and find some unexpected things which were involved in the murder case. Who is the man behind the murder mystery? How is his sister kidnapped and where is she found? Need to seen on the silver screen.

Performances:
Cheran is a perfect fit. He has so far performed delicate roles in his earlier flicks but his performance in the role of a cop is handled extremely well. Especially during action sequences he was impressive.Dipa Shah along with other casts has done well.
Director Mysskin again proved his mettle by coming up with a thriller and handled the plot very interestingly. The surprising twists during investigation will keep the audiences on the edge of seats and watch.

Ameer and Neetu Chandra’s item number 'Kanni Theevu Ponna' is fabulous,
Debutant cinematographer Sathya gave his best, each and every scene totally gives the feel of a thriller movie effect.

Music given by debutant K(a) Krishna Murthy s is okay.
The first half of the film moves on a rapid pace and doesn’t have much to reveal. But the second half engages the audience and has maintained the suspense till the end.

Editor Kahin's hard work has worked out magic for the film. Thrillers are real test for editors and he carried the much needed suspense and thrill throughout the movie.

The attention-grabbing story and screenplay, along with few good and firm directions and editing, made the movie a real thriller flick with some good technical values.
